The Soul

One believes that human evolution is not of the physical but instead, predispositions towards a cybernetic convolution, meaning, we won’t grow bigger heads and the inversely proportioned limbs but instead, attain new bodies that are inorganic.

If allowed another thousand years of survival, it’s not impossible for the human’s soul to be mapped electronically thus allowing a sort of softcopy of our personality. This implicates the possibility of immortality for if the physical body is dysfunctional, a transfer of the softcopy to a new vessel would remedy such problems.

Nevertheless, all this would be possible only if our being is made out of brain synapses firing and nothing else. There’s of course the flipside believe that the soul is a different entity that resides in living things.
On a side note, a Dr. Duncan Macdougall believed that the soul is indeed a different entity and hence, must’ve added a certain amount of weight to the human body. In order to prove such, he weighed near dying patients and recorded a fleeting of 21 grams at the time of death, of course, it’s never been asserted as scientific fact.

  1. hahahaha i read the article about 21 grams of soul. He weighed a few dying patients, and weight them again after death.

But not all guinea pigs give the same amount, maybe 7 out of 10. That is why it is not widely accepted. and for my theory, maybe he stopped breathing and some bacteria or air or something slip off its body which causes 21 grams lost in weigth. who knows...

btw i dont really understand ur post <_<, i only understand the last part about the experiment hohoho.

  2. i remembered that there's this movie called 21 grams. dunno is it the same thing.

oh 7 out of 10? hmm, not a bad ratio actually. haha, yah, your theory's possible actually.

what i mean is what if one day our mind/personality/memories can be transfered or copied into another robotic body. then you can live forever and not be affected by diseases or biological degration.

  3. Then u have to worry about the ever increased petrol price to power the electrcity and the lubrication of your body parts and the rusting of your KKC

Hey u cant have sex either!!

  4. Hmm, maybe they fine a way to use organic food to power.

Ya, that's true, we would loose our humanity. can't have sex... unless they can replicate sex organs... =.=

  5. sometimes I feel our responses can be mapped binary.

in the case of women however, things get more unpredictable.

chaos theory has to be added into the mix.

and then all computers will explode.

then machines will fight with man.

then the future will be like terminator or the matrix.

  6. Mapped binary? Like synchronous machines we men are. Constant and predictable

Ladies are asynchronous… run here run there and everywhere… :S

Who knows, the world may be too ‘tut’ up for organic life forms from all the pollution and hence, once born, we are brought into a matrix world where only our consciousness lives.

jason, is men were the only beings around, the world would only need 2 things. a tv, and a cable company.

and probably lots of humping males. bah.

i'd prefer to think that the soul isn't a physical thing. if it were, there would be a possibility of deformation or something, that would render a person to be born without one.

not a pleasant thought even though i have no idea what the heck this soul thing is all about.

chole: no way, we need streamyx too wei!

    humping males?? eww...

oh, hmm, nvr thought of it that way, the soul being prone to injury... :)
