Abandon Ship/Stand!

I’m rather accident prone on the church stage. Proof:

1) My guitar strap gave way a few times resulting in the guitar crashing down.

2) The music stand toppled away from me and towards the congregation. It oh most graciously landed with the music sheets happily sprawled across the floor.

But today was the ultimate dawning of musical mayhem:

While playing the last measure of this praise song, the keyboard stand gave way. Soon of course, a resounding flurry of random notes were being played by the floor instead of me. I assure you, Mr. Floor piano player was hammering the notes with much glee as to mock me of the sudden shocking exposition of gravity.

Mind you, it’s a keyboard that no one man can carry. At least 2 and a half guys are needed for proper lift.

It happened rather slowly though. First was the realization that the piano was tilting, then it starting sinking like the titanic and my inner voice was screaming, OH SHIIIIIIIIITTTTTT while observing helplessly.

Some uncles then quickly took a random table, fished out the piano and plopped it unto the white washed replacement stand.

And the best was, the following next worship song started with the line, “when the music fade”

Literally hur?
