My friend wanted to undergo Lasik surgery to relinquish his need to wear specs which he says brings about a degration in his good looks. At first I thought that it was a big leap just to look good but one understand now the benefits of going through the surgery; benefits that do not only it making you better looking or such.
There are very practical and sometimes, crucial reasons why a person would want a lasik surgery. Recently, thousands of soldiers who have placements in Afghanistan have used Lasik to relinquish the need of wearing specs. This is crucial since spectacles or even contact lenses can degrade a soldier’s overall performance and sometimes even be harmful in the heat of a battle.
It’s great that now soldiers have such an option to better save lives.
