R: Sigh..

Sure, wedding photography pays well if you’re established but I think the opportunity to build relationships pays even better.

I feel personally rewarded when a client tells me that the photos captured their moments or just a grateful thank you from them. Or how you get to attend their after wedding dinners, to be in the midst of the very people that made their day a success.

Not forgetting the people I get to meet, the smiles exchanged, the laughter shared or just being able to stand in such close proximity of the pinnacle of any moment in a marriage day.

Being fussed about to stop shooting photos and eat is nice too. =)

It’s the best when even after the wedding, you are still friends with the married couple and get to capture maybe their baby showers, their anniversaries, their babies, their children… to still be the family's moment keepers.
