R: Delayed Gratification

There's this financial book I read which states that being rich is not how much you earn but how much you spend. There are tons of people out there who are earning 5 figure paychecks but their lifestyle's demands a 5 figure support.

Personally it's a challenge to practice delayed gratification. When you get a sum of money, your inner mind lights up with a large about of 'spending bulbs'.

You have to gently remind yourself that most of the money should be invested instead of spent. So goodbye new com with 22 inch monitor, new camera or new ipod touch, for now.
