Back to how games are amazing nowadays. Another new area of player interaction/manipulation is how emotions are stirred so strongly in such games. Was playing this game called Half Life 2 where the world is attacked by aliens, you save the world, etc.
But what was strong was the emotional ties between the many articulate characters in there. There was this final seen which was a definite tear jerker. Never had I teared over a game. It was really that sad!
Moreover, it's an epic saga whereby the first chapter was launched I think way back in 1999. 8 years down the road and the final closing chapter is a few months away. Imagine that, a game that unfolds along with your life.
