R: A New Body

After 4 years, one has finally upgraded the computer. Specs are:

1) Athlon X2 4000+
2) 2GB Kingston DDR2
3) 320GB SATA HD
4) FORSA 8500GT 128MB
5) Casing
6) ABIT MotherBoard

Total Damage? Rm1099 only. That's really cheap considering the processing power. Get one from HP for that similar specs and expect to pay Rm4k! Computers, next to wedding photography is another area that people are constantly being cheated on.

Another thing you should try before you die is fixing your own com. It's like natural birth. You need to feel the pain to feel the emotional connection. If someone just plops a computer for me to use, it feels distant like a stranger.

But if you fix it yourself and have it working well, it's really satisfying.

Anyhow, the body is complete. 7.1 speakers still kicking it. Final completeness would come in the form of a 22inch monitor with swivel and rotate. *hearts*

Anyhow, performance is to cry for. Now I could happily use photoshop and other photo editing software without cursing at it every half an hour or so. Then there's the 320gb worth of space. Previously I had 10GB left hence you can understand the frustration of really needing more digital real estate.

Gears of wars, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4... *cries some more*
