Such are the things I enjoy nowadays:
1) A good book and coffee
2) Sitting down at a park and just feeling the evening wind
3) Having a nice meal with good conversation in between
4) Fixing Gundams whilst having Mayer on play
5) *secret*
Anyhow, been learning the liberating power of the word ‘NO’. When dealing with clients, at first, I’m like saying yes to everything they want but of course, it chained me to unneeded work.
But lately, one has been practicing assertiveness and saying ‘NO’ to uncalled for whims and whines. I guess it’s human nature that if you don’t show a bit of assertiveness, they will push your limits.
In the end, the person who you were assertive to for the right reasons would end up respecting you instead. I think the biggest revelation to my own personality is that one can be too nice that it drains out all the energy in me.
Yet, after practicing certain tips I got on being a nice guy yet not a floor mat, it made amazing significance to my energy level and my interaction with people. I'm more relaxed and less stressed.
