One thing that vexed me the most about studies is when your reference contains wrong answers. That subtle yet momentous gigantium mistake for example a misprint of ‘+’ instead the accurate ‘–‘ sign that makes a heck lot of difference.
So there you would be, scurrying about your workings trying to find that incongruity in hope to make things right but to no avail of course.
Then the lecturer would announce a few days later that it is as so; typo on the answer sheet. Bah!!
But sometimes, its just an excuse for not being able to solve the question… *sheepish smile*
