Crossroad Puzzle

It’s been a crossroad month. Choices of camera model, moving on and whether to shave bald. Choices made (except for the third one) were the right ones so far. It’s been awhile choices were made right. Usually it just spurted out more decisions to take. Not good.

Anyhow, another big decision would be one’s career. There’s the dream career that I believe I would wake up most of the day not hating the need to go to that particular work. And there’s the proper secure job that, if my internship was any proper picture painter, I’d die of routine boredom in a year and jump off the very same floor I was in.

Dream vocations in preference order and progresses made:

1) photojournalist
-currently freelancing for a newspaper publisher
-internship with it coming up in a couple of months time

2) wedding photographer
-few weddings to shoot coming up
-I can’t wait to make the business card. It would be like a ‘big two’ playing card kind of thing.

3) piano teacher
-syllabus prepared and tried it on a few guinea pig students

4) unit trust salesman
-going to sign up and go for training

Then there’s the secure proper job:

1) Engineer
-emm, err, I’m pursuing a degree in it?

I think the first portion is alluring thanks to the flexibility factor and the fact that I get to meet people, build friendships and not stare at some machine everyday hoping to coo it to work properly and efficiently.

So ya, should love be pursued or generalized practicality instead...
